Saturday September 10 3:00 – 5:00           The Magic of Coffee

Join Paul Wynkoop, Gloucester’s local coffee expert and owner of Mahogany Roasters, for this exciting introduction to coffee and Good Life Kitchen’s newest offering! Participants will taste different brewed and espresso coffees, French press extractions and other brewers. We will discuss coffee storage, oxidation and other threats to freshness, importance of the grind, and the challenges of extraction. We will also explore how coffee heightens the flavor of certain favorite foods, like CHOCOLATE!!!    $20.00 per person

 

Monday September 12 @ 6:00            Freezer Meal Workshop – Paleo Bounty

Simplify your life, save money, time and boost your health by joining us for our Paleo Bounty Freezer Meal Workshop. We will prepare 35! Meals for 7 nights, each geared to feed 4-6 people, from high quality sources of protein like wild caught salmon, American Wild jumbo shrimp, Angus Beef and more.

$170.00 for a week’s worth of family dinner!

 

Tuesdays from Sept 13 until October18 @ 4:15pm                Kitchen Fundamentals Kids Workshop

In this fun, six-part series, kids will practice essential kitchen skills and master the fundamentals of cooking. Young chefs will love working alongside classmates learning everything from grilling and roasting to braising and sautéing. Plus, they’ll discover how simple it can be to make homemade pasta, classic sauces and tasty baked treats. We’ll get hands-on and cover the fundamental of cooking such as rules for handling knives, sauce making, baking ratios, making pasta from scratch and the importance of kitchen safety. Along the way, kids will take notes as they learn to create a variety of delicious sweet and savory dishes.  Young Chefs ages 10-15 are welcome to join this fun culinary workshop. Classes run about two hours each . Each young chef will take home a packet of the recipes they make and a Good Life Kitchen apron. Share your love of cooking by giving your child a foundation that will benefit them for a lifetime and an experience they’ll never forget.

Classes are discounted as a six-part series.  Single class enrollments are 25.00 each.   $135.00 for the series.  Limited to 8  cooking superstars!

 

Thursdays  Sept 13, 20, 27 @ 6:00pm                      Becoming a Confident Cook

Become the confident cook you’ve always wanted to be—join us for this three-part series and master the basic skills for kitchen success. Whether you’re a beginner or simply looking to expand your culinary repertoire, our instructor will teach you all the essentials for creating incredible meals from scratch. This mini culinary-school education consists of three hands-on classes where you’ll learn how to create dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients and discover tips for getting the most value out of your time and your food budget.

Classes are available as a series or individually. $50.00 each class $145.00 for series of three.

 

Saturday September 24 @ 6:30   Date Night: Dinner in Tuscany

Take date night to a whole new level by inviting your special someone to a romantic dinner in Tuscany—no passport required! Chef Lorraine, an alumna from Firenze’s colossal Ristorante Sabatini, will share techniques for creating bold, authentic Tuscan flavors with summer’s bountiful produce. You’ll love working alongside your date and other couples learning secrets for everything from perfectly sauteeing chicken with a pan gravy  to making creamy risotto. Plus, we’ll end on a sweet note with a fresh berry dessert that’s perfect for sharing.      $90.00 per couple. BYOB

 

Sunday September 25 2:00- 4:00   Afternoon Tea at the Fashion Show

Join us for a splendid experience of  afternoon tea sandwiches, scones and cake while viewing the latest fall fashions on lovely local models from Twice as Nice Boutique Consignment.  Ten percent of the proceeds will benefit Food for Life, Gloucester’s local food pantry.

Friday September 30 @ 6:00pm         Deliciously Healthy Superfoods You can Master Everyday!

Explore the healthy and delicious side of the hottest superfoods like salmon, cashews, chickpeas, coconut, dark chocolate and more. Join us for this hands-on class and learn how these incredibly nutritious ingredients boost energy, enhance health and support overall well-being. You’ll work alongside classmates honing knife skills and practicing techniques for roasting, sautéing and baking. You’ll learn how simple it can be to incorporate superfoods into your everyday diet.
